If the current indifference to critical thought is
a tragedy, it's not just for the journalism profession
betraying its promise of news and ideas but also
for those bloggers. The love of movies that inspires
their gigabytes of hyperbole has been traduced to
nonsense language and non-thinking. It breeds a
new pinhead version of fan-clubism.

My point is that these reviews offer an illusion of a
social system, but there's nothing much behind that illusion.
It's cool write one, yes, in the way that scratching my name
on a tree used to feel cool.

But I find it very difficult to put these reviews to any practical
use. I can't know who to trust. Isn't that how you feel, too?

After that NIN U$ 300 ultra deluxe limited
edition package selling out, Beck could
really try to pull this one off.

Billy Howerdel. Great composer. Singer, not
really.

Intersting songs, but the 90s vibe is just too
dominant to make these tracks interesting
enough for continuous listening.

Still, a promising artist. Worth a check.

Carl Sagan and his impressive world view.

Gumby73's comment is worth a repost:
I remember a segment from a late night talk show.
...Paraphrasing here... The show's host said something
like, you've taken away everything that man has done
and reduced its significance. What can I do to change
this? In response Sagan said, "Do something significant."
